Job Summary
Meet clients monthly or more frequently in their homes to conduct housing safety assessments and develop individualized success plans. Work outside the office to negotiate lease addendums, resolve landlord conflicts, and facilitate smooth transitions from emergency shelter to affordable housing. Perform required housing unit inspections, complete eligibility calculations and documentation within two business days, and respond immediately to emergent issues. Function as the Fair Housing representative when assigned and partner with community organizations to connect families with non-housing resources. Act with compassion while adhering to all local, state, and federal laws and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- Act with compassion, empathy, and care for people experiencing homelessness and housing crisis.
- Maintain an active knowledge of all HRI programs, including eligibility requirements and services available.
- Function as the Agency's Fair Housing representative when assigned.
