Job Summary

Manage a caseload of client cases by developing program plans, preparing personalized behavior goals, and reviewing progress weekly. Support residents in establishing budgets, securing housing, and enrolling in educational or vocational programs while monitoring compliance with counseling and facility safety standards. Train less experienced case managers, conduct resident orientations, and verify employment suitability with Job Developers. Document all activities in confidential files, prepare terminal reports upon release, and report program violations to the contracting agency. Work under close supervision with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of corrections or human services experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science
  • one year of experience working in human services, corrections or a community based service
  • Total work experience needed in lieu of the combination of education and work experience is five (5) years
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
  • Basic knowledge of case management, referral services and interventions in both group and individual modalities
  • Basic knowledge of criminal justice system
  • Good presentation, public speaking and facilitation skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Problem solving ability
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
