Job Summary
Assess clients for admission to extended observation or crisis respite units within one hour of presentation and complete diagnoses. Provide immediate crisis stabilization, therapeutic interventions, and psycho-social groups twice daily to promote healing and coping skills. Coordinate care continuity, facilitate discharge planning, and ensure warm handoffs to outpatient services to prevent recurrence. Reassess individual progress daily and manage Level of Care transitions while adhering to state regulatory codes and agency compliance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field from an accredited college or university
- LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Must maintain a clear driving record and driver's license in accordance with our Driver Policy
- May be required to travel within Brazoria and Galveston Counties
- Out of region travel may be required to attend trainings
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a master's degree or equivalent in the behavioral sciences field of study from an accredited college or university
- 1 year related mental health experience is preferred
- General knowledge of mental disorders
- Ability to establish cooperative relationships with youth, their families, and their communities
- Ability to provide sensitivity toward family needs and preferences
