Job Summary
Conduct coaching, support, supervision, and education during parental visits with children placed out of the home. Communicate with DCYF regarding weekly visitation summaries and court letters while coordinating with families and providers to support treatment work. Provide case management and arrange transportation for children to and from visits as needed. Maintain a clean driving record with a valid license, proof of insurance, and registration, and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. This role supports FSRI's mission to improve the health and well-being of children and families across Rhode Island.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant career experience in human services, child development, education, child and family treatment
- Prior experience working with children and families involved in child welfare
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of automobile insurance, registration, inspection and driving record
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing supervised visitation a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills highly preferred
