Job Summary
Case Manager role in Ellington providing direct case management, intake assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals to help relocate families into permanent housing. Responsibilities include documenting in CARES/DHS systems, coordinating services, developing service plans, facilitating group activities, and ensuring compliance with state/city regulations. Requires building protective relationships with families, coordinating resources, strong written/verbal communication, bilingual ability desirable, and willingness to travel within the New York City area. Shift includes long hours and a Tuesday–Saturday schedule; office-based with on-call one-week quarterly. Minimum qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in social services fields and experience in social services, housing, or crisis intervention; proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal skills. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or an Associate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or Human Services
- Experience: a) Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with a minimum of one year in social services, counseling, crisis intervention, family services, preventive services or housing services preferred; b) Associate degree (considered) with a minimum of two years in social services, counseling, crisis intervention, family services, preventive services or housing services preferred
- Bilingual language ability highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and computer literate in Microsoft-Office
- May be required to work long hours and varied schedule
- Traveling throughout various locations in the New York City area
