Job Summary
Develop personalized program plans for residents with measurable behavioral criteria and documented progress reviews. Assist participants in establishing budgets, securing housing, and enrolling in educational or vocational programs. Monitor facility sanitation and safety, assign housekeeping chores, and maintain confidential participant files. Orient new arrivals, verify pass plans, and prepare terminal reports upon release. Participate in staff meetings to address facility and resident issues while adhering to all GEO Reentry policies and attendance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university
- One (1) year of experience must be working in human services, corrections, or community-based services
- Total work experience needed in lieu of the combination of education and work experience is five (5) years
- Familiar with community corrections systems and current community corrections practices
- Familiar with community work force needs, public and private agencies, and employment services
- Ability to write clear concise reports in English using correct grammar
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages
- Must be able to react quickly and appropriately in an emergency situation
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department

- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not mandatory
