Job Summary
Case Manager – Crisis role (permanent, 35 hours/week, base office in Parry Sound or Sundridge) responsible for carrying out case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, crisis intervention and treatment for individuals living with mental illness. Develops supports and opportunities to increase clients’ skills across daily living, learning, work, and social activities in a multi-disciplinary, community-focused setting. Builds and maintains networks with landlords and community service providers to support clients in Muskoka-Parry Sound. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human-service/health-science field; equivalency may be considered. Strong emphasis on empathy, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, coordination of services, and client-centered planning. Bilingual French/English considered an asset. May require transport of staff/clients with a valid Ontario G/G2 license. Willingness to work days/evenings and weekends. Salary: $29.85–$39.09 per hour, benefits including HOOPP retirement plan.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service/health science discipline relevant to the position
- Equivalency may be considered for a combination of educational experiences (e.g., mental health related diploma with relevant work experience plus registration with a regulated health professional college)
- One year of experience working with persons who have mental illness and/or developmental disability and/or substance use issues (preferred)
- Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act
- Willingness to work days/evenings (including weekends and statutory holidays)
- Valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license and reliable transportation with insurance for work purposes ($1,000,000 liability)
