Job Summary
The Case Manager/Coordinator provides independent coordination and implementation of supportive measures for individuals involved in university grievance processes related to discrimination and harassment, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking. The role collaborates with the Director, Assistant Director – Investigations, and Investigators to develop solutions that prevent future harm and promote participant safety. Responsibilities include counseling participants on resources and options, contributing to policy and process development, and serving as a liaison among Compliance and Civil Rights, university staff, departments, law enforcement, and community partners. The position involves case monitoring, proactive outreach, and coordinating ongoing support as participant needs evolve throughout each case. This is a full-time, permanent position with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization
- three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area
- Demonstrated excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with careful analysis of information, reviewing policies and procedures, handling confidential issues, and giving presentations
- Experience working with faculty, students, staff, and parents/families of students
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and leadership, including the ability to work independently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including late hours and weekends
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SharePoint, Maxient, and Microsoft Office; Knowledge of Title IX, VAWA, ADA, Title II, FERPA; Advanced degree in related field; Experience in higher education; Working knowledge of administrative environments; Spanish language proficiency
