Job Summary
Manage a caseload of client cases by developing personalized program plans, establishing measurable behavioral criteria, and documenting progress in handwritten confidential files. Support residents with budgeting, housing, education, and employment verification while monitoring facility sanitation, safety, and daily housekeeping assignments. Provide backup for resident intakes, check-ins, and drug screens when necessary, and prepare terminal reports upon release to satisfy contract requirements. Assist less experienced case managers and participate in staff meetings to share observations and solve problems. Adhere to GEO policies, work overtime as required, and maintain confidentiality for all residents and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science programs from an accredited college or university
- One (1) year of experience in human services, corrections or community-based services
- Total work experience needed in lieu of the combination of education and work experience is five (5) years
- Familiar with community corrections systems and current community corrections practices
- Familiar with community work force needs, public and private agencies and employment services
- Ability to write clear concise reports in English using correct grammar
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages
- Must be able to react quickly and appropriately in an emergency situation
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
