Job Summary
Case Manager coordinates services to address disaster survivors' unmet needs and assists in developing Recovery Plans. Responsibilities include determining when cases should be closed or reopened, building relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders, representing the organization at community events, developing outreach strategies, gathering and communicating feedback, coordinating engagement programs, serving as a primary contact for community inquiries, facilitating open communication between the organization and the community, monitoring community trends to inform planning, collaborating with internal teams to align with community needs, and preparing reports on engagement efforts and outcomes. Key skills include excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal abilities, independent and collaborative work, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel, empathy and cultural sensitivity, strategic thinking and problem-solving, organizational and time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects. Education requirement is an Associate’s degree with at least one year of publicly facing case management experience; criminal background check is required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in social work, public administration, communications, or a related field
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in publicly facing case management
- Experience compiling and entering data, preferred
- Experience in event planning and public speaking is a plus
