Job Summary
As a Full-Time Case Manager at Mental Health Kokua, you will support adults with serious mental illness through care coordination, client support and advocacy, and promoting recovery using trauma-informed practices. Responsibilities include developing service plans, assisting individuals with daily living skills and housing stability, and collaborating with community resources. You will need a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 1.5 years of experience in case management or similar fields. Additional requirements include strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1.5 years of experience in case management or working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders
- Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and safety inspection
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and alcohol/drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel throughout Hawaiʻi Island as needed
- Ability to work flexible schedules based on program and client needs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related human or social services field
- Strong communication, organization, advocacy, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to obtain TB clearance, CPR, and First Aid certifications
