Job Summary
Case Manager at ARCHES - The Nest provides clients with case management to help them achieve goals, access housing resources, and navigate public and social services. Responsibilities include working directly with clients to ensure access to housing assessments and resources, assessing eligibility, gathering documentation for intake, enrollment, and shelter placement; delivering direct services such as case management and housing placement; developing Action Plans; maintaining relationships with community partners; assisting with client-tracking and reporting while upholding strict confidentiality; ensuring compliance with federal/state/grant requirements; coordinating with program teams for timely service delivery; supporting nutrition and cleaning tasks as needed; providing client transportation; participating in community outreach; maintaining professional boundaries; and attending required trainings. Required qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or GED, multiple years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license and background checks, and mandatory trainings within 30 days, with preferred college coursework in social sciences and experience with vulnerable populations. The role is on-site and requires physical tasks and on-site work schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four or more years of work or volunteering experience in fast-paced customer service, healthcare, education, social or community services or related public-facing sectors; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be accepted
- College course work in social sciences or related human services preferred but not required
- Valid driver license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years are required
- Candidate must pass MWVCAA background screening and an Oregon Department of Human Services criminal background check prior to employment
- Pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings required
- CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers card, Mandatory Reporting, Privacy Laws, Trauma Informed Care, Suicide Intervention, Behavior Management Interventions, and Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect trainings and/or certifications required within the first 30 days of employment
- Knowledge of coordinated assessment, homeless service delivery best practices
- Basic proficiencies in computers, MS Office, database software, and web tools
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequent standing/walking in shelter environments
- On-site work required; not eligible for remote work
