Job Summary
Case Manager for DFCS Foster Care team on a 90-day assignment. Responsibilities include investigative and comprehensive case management for a caseload involving child/adult abuse or neglect, initiating timely face-to-face responses to screened-in reports, developing safety plans, conducting assessments, and addressing safety concerns. Works with children and families to establish permanency goals, collaborates on Family Functioning Agreement, Action Plan, and Family Plan, completes genograms, coordinates with community partners, ensures appropriate foster care placements, maintains connections to community and supports, documents activities within policy timeframes, and travels as needed using a privately owned vehicle. Office-based with documentation potentially done at home, but the role is expected to be in the office more often than teleworking. Hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour work week in DeKalb County, GA (Atlanta metro). Compensation: $32.50/hour with mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must have at least 1 year of child welfare experience
