Job Summary
Conduct home-visit evaluations and assess allegations of abuse and neglect to determine child safety. Access and record client resource information, interview witnesses, and prepare reports according to state and federal laws. Coordinate children in out-of-home placements, monitor interventions, and collaborate with the legal system to ensure desired outcomes. Perform initial investigations of protective services referrals and maintain required documentation. Work 40 hours weekly in the office from 8:30 AM for case documentation before field visits, with no approved overtime. Compensation is $32.50/hour for W2 or $30.00/hour for 1099 contractors. Travel reimbursement is $0.725/mile.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Clean Background Report (No prior criminal history)
- Must be very familiar with CPS investigations
- Must have previous DFCS knowledge and experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
