Job Summary
Answer incoming phone calls to the medical management department efficiently and professionally. Coordinate employee care by locating clinics, scheduling appointments with primary and specialty providers, and ensuring injured workers attend scheduled visits. Manage case documentation by faxing and emailing authorizations, requesting medical records, and verifying that documents from appointments are received and stored appropriately. Maintain the internal database with up-to-date client information, insurance claim status, and injury tracking logs while generating monthly reports for client companies. Audit calendars, track all cases, and act as the primary contact for return-to-work and fitness-for-duty requests. Ensure all activities remain HIPAA compliant and adhere to company policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent completed
- 1+ years of work experience in a customer service position or related
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree preferred
- Background as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams or equivalent
- Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR) and reporting tools preferred
