Job Summary
Operate and adjust case erector and related packaging equipment on the 6:00 PM–6:00 AM shift to meet production requirements. Set up, operate, and adjust case erector, conveyors, auto casers or hand casers, case taper, case coder, and palletizer; inspect and prepare cases and packaging materials; ensure proper flow of materials to the production line; monitor equipment and product quality and report deviations; assist with start-up, changeover, and shutdown activities including cleaning; protect products from contamination and monitor finished goods for proper temperature; provide guidance to line workers and maintain housekeeping standards. Maintain safety and quality standards and support continuous improvement within a fast-paced packaging operation.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet physical requirements and perform all duties safely
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within the team
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn: Food handling and packaging practices
- Safe working practices
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Quality control and critical control points
- Allergen and bloodborne pathogen control
- Reliable and consistent attendance with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision and as part of a team
