Job Summary
Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Coordinator role supporting 300–400 program participants by managing continued eligibility, calculating rent subsidies, assisting with moves/transfers, and ensuring compliance with HUD regulations. Responsibilities include annual/interim eligibility reviews, verifying income/assets/household status, updating subsidies, assisting participants and landlords, investigating discrepancies or fraud when needed, maintaining regular communication with clients and partners, and staying current on HAJC policies. Ideal for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 4+ years in social services/public agency settings, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a commitment to housing stability and service to low-income populations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years working with elderly, disabled, or low-income populations in a social service or public agency setting
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and case management best practices
