Job Summary
Manage a designated caseload of patients to influence positive clinical and financial outcomes. Execute timely entry, follow-up, and management of appeals according to payer rules by writing appeal letters that address denial reasons with supporting clinical data. Communicate with all parties involved in the denial process, including billing offices, case management, payers, and hospital information management. Opt in to text message notifications and check email regularly during the hiring process. Maintain a pre-employment drug-free status by passing required screening. Requires a current RN license in Alabama, one year of case management or discharge planning experience, and critical thinking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Passing a pre-employment drug screening
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- RN license
- Current licensure in the State of Alabama
- Minimum of one year of Case Management and/or Discharge Planning experience
- Clinical nursing experience
- Critical thinking skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
