Job Summary

Organize document production for attorney review and research public records using public websites. Gather cases and exhibits from files for incorporation into briefs, then prepare a variety of documents, forms, charts, and letters. Maintain case files and databases, update closing books, and obtain information from cities, municipalities, or public agencies. Assist paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filings while responding to audit letter responses. Perform data entry and make copies as needed. Work in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities to meet deadlines. This role supports the Chicago office with a hybrid work schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • 1 year of experience with demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and external audiences
  • Produce high-quality work and respond to correspondence in an efficient, timely, and professional manner
  • Meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and commit to meeting high standards
  • Comply with firm policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidences as required in a law firm environment
  • Occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
  • Occasional walking and standing
  • Occasional travel, both domestic and international

Desired Qualifications

  • Office experience in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred
  • High School or GED Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
