Job Summary
Provides daily supervision, monitoring, reporting, and technical support services to clients in a residential substance abuse treatment environment; performs crisis intervention counseling when needed; works with individuals and groups to develop life management skills; facilitates an emotional and physical environment conducive to enhancing positive client morale and stabilization; reports pertinent information to the Director of Social Services. Monitors daily activities and program participation; ensures safety, cleanliness, and orderly environment; administers breathalyzer and urinalysis tests; conducts sexual offender checks as needed; communicates with treatment team and clinical staff; handles intake paperwork and data entry; documents and monitors clients’ self-administration of medication per Shelter Care policies; maintains written communications to clinical staff; requires ability to meet attendance, read/write/speak English effectively, respond to emergencies, and drive—with work performed in a shelter setting; aligns with Christian principles and professional conduct; benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One year experience performing security or social service work preferred
- any equivalent combination of training and experience
