Job Summary
This role involves providing supportive services and case-related duties to the Family Services Department, focusing on child safety and family wellness. Responsibilities include transportation for parents and children, supervising visits, assisting with data entry, and connecting families with community resources. Candidates should have an Associate's Degree in Human Services/Social Work, and knowledge of community resources, trauma-informed care, and child welfare standards.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of available community resources
- Knowledge of best practice standards, trauma informed care, historical trauma and strength-based approaches
- Knowledge of the Oneida community, history, and culture
- Knowledge of social work theories and principles; child and adolescent growth and development; individual and family dynamics; human behavior; and current social and economic conditions and the effects of these conditions on families, individuals, and the community
- Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic math
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and meet strict timelines
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
- Skill in operating computers and various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment
- Ability to interpret applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements
Additional Requirements
- Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.
- Must pass a background check to meet Employment Eligibility Requirements.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
