Job Summary
The Case Aide position promotes the mission of the Family Services Department by assisting with services critical to the welfare of children and families. Responsibilities include providing transportation to appointments, supervising family visits, and offering referrals to community resources.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of available community resources
- Knowledge of best practice standards, trauma informed care, historical trauma and strength-based approaches
- Knowledge of the Oneida community, history, and culture
- Knowledge of social work theories and principles; child and adolescent growth and development; individual and family dynamics; human behavior; and current social and economic conditions and the effects of these conditions on families, individuals, and the community
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and meet strict timelines
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
- Skill in operating computers and various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a background check
- Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy
- A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment
