Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, monitoring, reporting, and technical support to clients in a residential substance abuse treatment environment while performing crisis intervention counseling when needed. Monitor daily activities to ensure client program participation, safety, cleanliness, and orderliness; observe clients for health risks and administer breathalyzer, urinalysis, and sexual offender checks. Complete required intake paperwork, input data into computer records, and document client medication self-administration. Communicate with the treatment team and report major incidents to clinical supervisors. Drive a vehicle safely and respond to emergency situations calmly. Maintain a professional environment conducive to client stabilization and morale.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and calmly while maintaining control and initiating the proper corrective action
- Ability to drive a vehicle safely and in accordance with all laws and regulations
- Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles
- One year experience performing security or social service work
Desired Qualifications
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid State Driver's License
- CPR and First Aid Certification
