Job Summary
CASAC-T position at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY. Provides or supports direct patient care and counseling for substance use disorders, with responsibilities including assisting activities of daily living, observing and documenting patient progress, building therapeutic relationships, and contributing to treatment plans. Performs case management and discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and maintains accurate documentation in line with standards. Requires CASAC and appropriate education (HS diploma/GED with experience or associate/technical degree) and English proficiency. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- CASAC credential issued by NYS OASAS (must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date)
- High school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience OR associate’s/technical degree in a related field
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
