Job Summary
Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC or CASAC-T) for the Crisis Stabilization Team (CST) in White Plains, NY. Provide substance use assessments, harm-reduction interventions, connection to MAT/detox/inpatient/outpatient treatment, and integrated care coordination. Participate in crisis de-escalation, safety planning, rapid linkage to mental health and social services, and documentation in OMH/DCMH systems. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and partners including courts, forensic hospitals, and community providers to support stabilization, diversion, and community reintegration. Must have CASAC/CASAC-T credential and experience with co-occurring disorders; travel within Westchester County; valid driver's license required; full-time, non-exempt role with 9-5 schedule.
Required Qualifications
- CASAC or CASAC-T credential in New York State
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs
- Ability to work independently in the community and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong documentation, engagement, and crisis-intervention skills
