Job Summary
Assist teachers with instructional, clerical, student management, and daily life activities for special education students in special education or general classrooms. Work hours align with the school year, typically between 7:15am and 3:30pm, with shifts varying by school needs. Requires a high school diploma or GED; previous experience with students with special needs is preferred. Must be able to relate well with students, staff and parents; capable of supervising students in community settings; possess strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills; willingness to participate in training through the Special Education Department. Training is provided for the role.
