Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while controlling inventory and requisitioning parts. Perform maintenance checks on buildings and complex production equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Operate industrial equipment such as skyjacks, forklifts, and boomlifts. Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs and ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work area by following lockout-tagout and confined space safety protocols. Report food safety and quality issues immediately to management. Work in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing up to 100 pounds, with flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certain roles at Tyson require background checks
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
