Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, place carryout orders using situational selling techniques, and package food and beverages promptly while adhering to company standards. Communicate via headset to expedite service, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and input orders into the computer system. Maintain a clean carryout area, monitor bakery stock levels, and safely handle food prep equipment. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary and answer phone calls using the company script. Assist with expediting and delivery to dine-in guests, pre-bussing tables, and greeting guests to tables as needed. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on perfect plates and family dining experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
