Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, place orders using menu knowledge and situational selling, and package food and beverage orders promptly and accurately. Communicate with guests to determine needs, handle cash and credit transactions, and accurately input orders into the computer system. Wear a headset to coordinate with managers and teammates, assist in expediting and delivery to dine-in guests, and manage guest complaints by involving managers when necessary. Maintain a clean carry out area, monitor bakery and retail stock levels, and safely handle food prep equipment. Answer phone calls per company script and assist with pre-bussing tables or escorting guests as needed. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on perfect plates and family dining experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Dependability
- Exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
