Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders accurately while following company standards. Communicate professionally to determine guest needs, wear a headset to expedite service, and handle cash and credit transactions including coupons and gift cards. Practice safe food handling, maintain a clean carryout area and bakery stock levels, and safely handle food prep equipment. Monitor bakery and retail cleanliness, effectively handle guest complaints by involving management, and answer phone calls using company scripts. Input carryout orders into the computer system, assist in expediting and delivering meals to dine-in guests, and support table greeting, escorting, and pre-bussing tasks. Perform all duties as assigned with dependability and exceptional teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively handle guest complaints and involve the manager at the appropriate time
- Ability to answer phone calls using company script per meal period in a fast and friendly manner
- Ability to accurately input carry out orders into the computer system
- Ability to safely handle food prep equipment such as beverage machines, salad cases, etc.
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
