Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders accurately and promptly. Communicate professionally to determine guest needs, handle cash and credit transactions, and input orders into the computer system. Wear a headset to coordinate with managers and teammates, answer phone calls per script, and assist with expediting and delivery to dine-in guests. Maintain a clean carry out area, monitor bakery and retail stock levels, and safely handle food prep equipment. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary. Perform pre-bussing and table escorting as needed. This role requires standing for the entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and multi-tasking within a farm-fresh dining environment.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively handle guest complaints and involve the manager at the appropriate time
- Ability to answer phone calls using company script per meal period in a fast and friendly manner
- Ability to accurately input carry out orders into the computer system
- Ability to safely handle food prep equipment such as beverage machines, salad cases, etc.
- Ability to monitor the cleanliness, organization and stock levels of the bakery and retail areas
- Ability to effectively greet guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner
- Ability to understand and utilize menu knowledge and situational selling techniques when placing orders for carryout guests
- Ability to package food and beverage orders, condiments, and appropriate items promptly and accurately
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and help them with the menu selections
- Ability to wear a headset to communicate with managers and teammates to help expedite the guest experience
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions; accurately account for all receivables including cash, credit cards, coupons, and gift cards
- Ability to practice safe food and beverage handling and always clean up
- Ability to keep carry out area clean of debris and keep the general work area stocked and clean
- Ability to assist in greeting guests and escorting guests to tables
- Ability to assist in cashing guests out if the cashier is not available
- Ability to assist with pre-bussing tables, rolling silverware or any other needed task
- Ability to assist in the expediting and delivery of meals to dine-in guests
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
