Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders accurately while maintaining company standards. Communicate via headset to expedite orders, handle cash and credit transactions, and input carryout orders into the computer system. Practice safe food handling, clean the work area, monitor stock levels, and assist with expediting, delivery, and table pre-bussing tasks. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary. Answer phone calls using the company script and assist cashiers as needed. This role supports Bob Evans' mission to serve high-quality farm-fresh food, requiring dependability, exceptional teamwork, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
