Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and accurately package food and beverage orders while maintaining company standards. Communicate professionally via headset to expedite orders, handle cash and credit transactions, and input carryout orders into the computer system. Practice safe food handling, clean the work area, monitor bakery stock levels, and assist with expediting meals to dine-in guests or pre-bussing tables. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary and answer phone calls using the company script. This role supports the Bob Evans mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food and requires dependability, exceptional teamwork, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
