Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders accurately and promptly. Communicate with managers via headset to expedite service, handle cash and credit transactions, and input orders into the computer system. Maintain a clean carryout area, safely handle food prep equipment, and monitor bakery and retail stock levels. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary and answer phone calls using company scripts. Assist with expediting and delivery to dine-in guests, greeting them and escorting them to tables. Perform pre-bussing tasks and roll silverware as needed. Stand for entire shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and multi-task to prioritize duties. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on perfect plates and bags.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must be able to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must possess dependability
