Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders promptly while communicating via headset to expedite service. Handle cash and credit transactions, accurately account for receivables including coupons and gift cards, and input carryout orders into the computer system. Practice safe food handling, maintain a clean carryout area and stock levels, and safely operate beverage machines and salad cases. Monitor bakery and retail cleanliness, resolve guest complaints by involving managers when necessary, and answer phone calls using company scripts. Assist in expediting and delivering meals to dine-in guests, escorting them to tables, and performing pre-bussing tasks. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on perfect plates and bags.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
