Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, place orders using menu knowledge and situational selling, and package food and beverages promptly while communicating via headset to expedite service. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, input orders into the computer system, and manage safe food handling and cleanup. Monitor bakery and retail stock levels, answer phone calls per script, and assist with expediting, delivery, table greeting, and pre-bussing tasks. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving managers when necessary. This role supports the Bob Evans mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining and community pride.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Dependability
- Exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Reach with hands
