Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, place carryout orders using situational selling techniques, and package food and beverages accurately while wearing a headset to expedite the experience. Handle cash and credit transactions, input orders into the computer system, and assist with expediting meals to dine-in guests, including table escorting, cashing out, and pre-bussing. Maintain a clean carryout area, monitor bakery and retail stock levels, and safely handle food prep equipment and beverage machines. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving managers when necessary, answer phone calls per company script, and adhere to safe food handling and sanitation protocols. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining and community roots.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
