Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders promptly. Communicate professionally with guests to determine needs, handle cash and credit transactions, and accurately input orders into the computer system. Wear a headset to coordinate with managers and teammates, safely handle food prep equipment, and maintain cleanliness in the carryout, bakery, and retail areas. Effectively resolve guest complaints while assisting with expediting meals, pre-bussing tables, and greeting dine-in guests. Work a full shift standing and walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for career growth within Bob Evans Restaurants.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
