Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders promptly while communicating needs via headset. Process cash and credit transactions accurately, input orders into the computer system, and handle guest complaints by involving managers as needed. Maintain a clean carryout area, stock levels, and bakery/retail spaces, and safely handle food prep equipment. Assist with expediting and delivery to dine-in guests, greeting guests, escorting them to tables, and pre-bussing tables when cashiers are unavailable. Answer phone calls using company scripts and perform all other duties as assigned during the shift.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively handle guest complaints and involve the manager at the appropriate time
- Ability to answer phone calls using company script per meal period in a fast and friendly manner
- Ability to accurately input carry out orders into the computer system
- Ability to safely handle food prep equipment such as beverage machines, salad cases, etc.
- Ability to monitor the cleanliness, organization and stock levels of the bakery and retail areas
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area

- Handle cash and credit transactions; accurately account for all receivables including cash, credit cards, coupons, and gift cards
- Practice safe food and beverage handling and always clean up
- Keep carry out area clean of debris and keep the general work area stocked and clean
- Understands and utilizes menu knowledge and situational selling techniques when placing orders for carryout guests
- Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and help them with the menu selections
- Greet all guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner
- Assist in greeting guests and escorting guests to tables
- Assist in cashing guests out if the cashier is not available
- Assist with pre-bussing tables, rolling silverware or any other needed task
- Assist in the expediting and delivery of meals to dine-in guests
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
