Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders accurately. Communicate via headset with managers and teammates to expedite service, handle cash and credit transactions, and input orders into the computer system. Practice safe food handling, clean the carry out area, and monitor bakery stock levels. Effectively resolve guest complaints, answer phone calls per script, and assist with expediting meals to dine-in guests. Stand for entire shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform pre-bussing tasks as needed. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining experiences and community roots.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
