Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders accurately while communicating professionally via headset. Handle cash and credit transactions, input orders into the computer system, and safely handle food prep equipment. Maintain a clean carry out area, monitor bakery and retail stock levels, and assist with expediting meals, pre-bussing tables, and answering phone calls. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining experiences and community growth.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively handle guest complaints and involve the manager at the appropriate time
- Ability to answer phone calls using company script per meal period in a fast and friendly manner
- Ability to accurately input carry out orders into the computer system
- Ability to safely handle food prep equipment such as beverage machines, salad cases, etc.
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while possessing dependability and exceptional teamwork skills
