Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and place carryout orders accurately. Package food, beverages, and condiments promptly while maintaining company standards for preparation and timing. Communicate via headset with managers to expedite service, handle cash and credit transactions, and input orders into the computer system. Monitor bakery and retail stock levels, clean the carryout area, and safely handle food prep equipment. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary and assist with expediting meals to dine-in guests. Answer phone calls using the company script and support pre-bussing tables as needed. This role requires standing for the entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and multi-tasking to ensure a seamless farm-fresh dining experience at Bob Evans.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
