Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and accurately package food and beverage orders while following company standards. Communicate professionally with guests to determine needs, handle cash and credit transactions, and input orders into the computer system. Wear a headset to coordinate with managers, assist in expediting and delivery to dine-in guests, and manage bakery and retail stock levels. Effectively handle guest complaints by involving management when necessary, answer phone calls per script, and safely handle food prep equipment. Maintain a clean carry-out area, practice safe food handling, and assist with pre-bussing tables or other assigned tasks as needed. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on family dining experiences and community roots.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
