Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, utilize menu knowledge for situational selling, and package food and beverage orders promptly while communicating professionally to determine needs. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, input carryout orders into the computer system, and wear a headset to coordinate with managers and teammates. Maintain a clean carryout area, monitor bakery and retail stock levels, and safely handle food prep equipment. Effectively resolve guest complaints by involving management when necessary, answer phone calls using company scripts, and assist with expediting, delivery, table escorting, and pre-bussing tasks. This role supports Bob Evans' mission of serving high-quality farm-fresh food with a focus on perfect plates and bags.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach with hands
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
