Job Summary
Circulating RN for LASIK MD in Victoria and Vancouver. Prepare the OR for ophthalmic procedures, organize instruments and equipment, assist the Ophthalmologist during surgeries, maintain sterile fields, record notes and complete administrative forms, and support Risk Management by reporting patient safety concerns. Collaborate with the center’s director/management and team; flexible schedule (one shift per week, Monday–Saturday); participate across both Victoria & Vancouver locations (planning and travel expenses covered). Requires active RN licensure with BC College of Nursing Professionals, BLS, and perioperative certification or substantial OR experience; ophthalmology/optometry experience is an asset. Wage is $60 per hour (permanent casual position).
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with good standing in BC (BCCNP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Perioperative certification OR 10+ years of operating room experience
