Job Summary
Substation Technician (Craft – T&D) will work under general supervision in the operation, construction, and maintenance of Electrical Substations and Battery Substations. Responsible for general construction of substations, installing underground grounding systems, grounding, and installing MV/HV switches and other electrical equipment; assembling steel structures, substations, and battery substations; assisting with layout and concrete placement of drilled piers; and maintaining safety and quality standards. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year experience preferred in substations, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel 5-15%. Per diem of $100 daily during rotation; base salary in the $28-$32/hour range, with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, parental leave, and wellness programs.
