Job Summary
Identify and action efficiency opportunities by applying continuous improvement methodologies to transportation processes. Analyze data and process topics to present findings, including cost/benefit analyses and potential solutions. Contribute to investigations of business requests, assess feasibility of solutions, and evaluate carrier contract offers to support negotiations. Provide regular feedback on transportation plan quality and delivery templates, while analyzing key performance indicators to rectify concerns with stakeholders. Maintain current knowledge of Canadian transportation acts and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Logistics or Engineering
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g. Macros, Pivot Tables) and Access (e.g. Macros, Queries, Reporting) skills
- Foundational Python programming skills, with experience using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks, setting and tracking own milestones, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills
- Strong business acumen
- Familiarity with project management and continuous improvement methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- willingness to learn more advanced tools (e.g., scikit learn)
- Experience building reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
