Job Summary
Rental HVAC Service Technician role responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial HVAC systems including air-cooled and water-cooled units, boilers, hydronics, piping, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, and related controls. The technician maintains field service reports and timekeeping logs, operates power and hand tools, loads/unloads trucks, and communicates professionally with customers, coworkers, and subcontractors while promoting Carrier products. The position requires travel up to 50% and involves start-ups/teardowns, equipment operation (including forklifts), and adherence to EHS protocols; supervision and training support for teammates may be involved. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with HVAC experience; preferred qualifications include an associate degree or HVAC certification and advanced hands-on experience with large-scale HVAC systems and BAS awareness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ months of Commercial HVAC experience
- Must be able to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and MS Outlook
