Job Summary
Deliver hands-on and classroom instruction in the NCCER carpentry curriculum, preparing lesson plans and practical demonstrations while evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback. Maintain a safe, organized learning environment, track student progress, and reinforce industry best practices, safety standards, and worksite expectations. This part-time role requires 10–15 hours per week in a remote setting and seeks a journey-level carpenter with 5–7 years of experience, NCCER certification, and bilingual English/Spanish skills to develop the next generation of tradespeople.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of journey-level carpentry experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of learners
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- NCCER certification or willingness to obtain
- Prior teaching or training experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
