Job Summary
Assist with diverse on-site construction projects across Bucks County while learning from experienced professionals and guiding volunteers. Drive nails, operate basic carpentry tools, and contribute to the completion of 70% of homes built by dedicated volunteers. Work Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, requiring the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in non-temperature-controlled conditions. This role supports Habitat for Humanity's mission of building communities and empowering families by helping homeowners achieve their dream of homeownership.
Required Qualifications
- Vehicle and valid driver's license required
- Ability to learn
- Willingness to teach
- Understanding of basic carpentry tools
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses, and color determination vision
- Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding up to 6 feet high
- Ability to grasp, reach, stoop, speak, listen and distinguish differences in odors
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 lbs
- Must be able work in non-temperature-controlled conditions, possibly outdoors, in warehouses, or at donor facilities
